If your child struggles with tasks such as handwriting, coordination, attention, or sensory processing, an occupational therapy assessment can help identify what’s happening and how best to support them.

We support children and young people from around 5 years old through to secondary school age, depending on their individual needs.

Assessments are relaxed and child-led. They may include movement activities, table-top tasks, and observation through play. I’ll also gather background information from you and your child’s school to build a full picture.

Most sessions are held either in your child’s educational setting or at home – whichever works best for them and allows activities to take place safely.

Therapy sessions are tailored to your child’s goals. These may include sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine and gross motor skills, independence, and confidence.

Yes, you’re very welcome to attend. I just ask that you observe quietly or take part when invited, so your child can stay focused during the session.

Most sessions last around 45 minutes. The number and frequency depend on your child’s needs and what we’re working towards, which we’ll discuss and agree together.

Yes – I’m HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT). I’ve also completed postgraduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration and take part in regular supervision and ongoing CPD.
