About Little Blooms

A little bit about Little Blooms Occupational Therapy

Hello; My name is Claire! I am an Occupational Therapist and Founder of Little Blooms Occupational Therapy.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from York St John University, and I’ve nearly completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Ayres Sensory Integration. Since qualifying in 2023, I’ve worked in private practice, supporting children and young people with a wide range of needs across specialist schools and in a specialist therapy studio.

I came to occupational therapy after having my children, when my interest in child development grew into a passion for supporting children and families in a more hands on way. My previous work in HR gave me strong foundations in communication and collaboration which are skills I continue to use every day in my therapy practice.

I also take part in regular CPD and supervision to keep my practice current and reflective.

When I’m not working, I’m a mum myself and enjoy being outdoors; whether that’s exploring with my children or learning to paddleboard (still very much a work in progress!).

Why Little Blooms?

The name Little Blooms reflects my belief that, with the right support and environment, every child can grow in a way that’s right for them. I take a holistic and neuroaffirming approach, recognising that each child is an individual with their own strengths and needs. My aim isn’t to change who they are, but to support them and the world around them, so they can thrive in the ways that matter most to them. That’s why our tagline is: nurturing every child’s journey to flourish.
